Applied AI & Digital Intelligence Architect
For years, my work centered on understanding how machines interpret information on the web. Search engines rewarded structure, authority, relevance and usability.
Those same questions are becoming significantly more important as AI systems move from indexing information to retrieving it, synthesizing it and acting on it. My work today sits at that intersection: systems combining AI, structured information, organizational data, automation and digital experiences.
The common question
How should we design digital systems when humans are no longer their only users?
Agency
Working across many sites at once teaches you which levers actually move machine understanding and which ones are folklore. It also teaches you how fast a wrong assumption compounds when it is applied to fifty properties instead of one.
In-house
Owning organic performance inside an institution is a different problem. The data is fragmented across systems that disagree with each other, the decisions have budgets attached, and no amount of technical correctness helps if the analysis cannot survive a room full of stakeholders.
Now
Applied AI systems, decision intelligence platforms, and agent-ready infrastructure — built with the same instinct that search taught me. Structure the information so a machine can be right about it, then check whether it actually was.
Search is not something I left behind. It is the technical and intellectual foundation the rest of this is built on — a decade of studying how machines discover, interpret, rank and trust information, applied to a problem that has since grown well past rankings.
Machines are no longer simply indexing the experience. They are increasingly becoming participants in it.
